Just an idea, I don't do this, but it's an idea.

What if you mounted a winch (electric) from the ceiling.  Then you bring 
the hook it to the ground, drop it through the center of the tires, put a 
bar on the bottom, and hoist them all up?  If you have a high enough 
ceiling (12') and you had 4 X 12" wide tires, they would be up and out of 
the way.  It would be effortless to put them up and down, and it save 
VALUABLE wall space!

Just an idea.
