[Shop-talk] Email

John - I have a cox.net address from when I got Cox internet, as does my
wife.  When Cox got out of the e-mail business, they transferred the
accounts to Yahoo.  This means your internet and e-mail are via
different unrelated companies.  Per their FAQ at the time, you can keep
your Cox.net e-mail even if you no longer have Cox internet.

My Cox address is a secondary address and I only check it with
Thunderbird on a PC.  It was challenging to get Thunderbird to work
properly because some obscure setting needed to be set, but now it works
great.

My wife uses Cox as her only e-mail and uses the Yahoo webmail site on a
PC and the Yahoo app on her phone.

You can likely set Cox to autoforward, but I'd just have separate inbox
in something like Thunderbird or Outlook to have both e-mails.
