I prefer browser based email instead of a client/server model. Been on
GMail since it was launched but always looking at alternatives, too.
Browser based lets you access all of your messages from any platform;
Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc. I use it as a kind of sneakernet if I want
to move a file from one device to another.
One thing I don't do is store anything sensitive or financial online. Then
I'll use a flash drive to move a file between computers. Am I paranoid...?!
