[Shop-talk] battery explosion clean up

Overcharge caused by overvoltage. The only I know of that causes an 
explosion like that is hydrogen gas caused by overcharging along with a 
source of ignition. That's why it is now recommended to ground to the 
chassis, instead of the neg. terminal, when jump starting. Note even 
'maintenance free' batteries have vents.

I ruined a battery on an 'old school trickle' charger; they are constant 
current power supplies and will keep pumping electrons even after the 
battery if fully charged. The newer smart chargers know when to stop.
