Most marine finishes will hold up, but they do require some maintenance.
Personally, I use this TotalBoat Lust Marine Spar Varnish
<https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/product/product-detail/98160> on my
sailboat, but any of the Total Boat varnishes have a good reputation,
although I have not used the water-based one. Another popular finnish with
boaters is Cetol by Sikkens. I've used it on the interior of my boat but
never the exterior. If you live anywhere near an ocean or sizable lake try
your local chandlery for other choices.
