[Shotimes] Wrecked the SHO!

I wish my wife was a Professional Massage Therapist ! Last Feb I had a
nasty skiing "accident" in which I snapped a rib and fractured 2 others, not
to mention all the soft tissue injury associated with that snapped rib. 2
weeks ago I went Karting and I was hurting not just my rib area, but in my
spine at the same point laterally from my ribs. My "fitness kick" for this
year is to do several mini-triathlons, I'll either drown getting to my 1
mile swim goal or get wacked riding my bike / running by some drunk or cell
phone talking idiot. Hopefully I don't do any more damage to my body that
I've already done the past 38 years!

Come to think of it, that lacrosse ball I took in the collar bone in High
school is starting to act up too!

Like Don and Kris stated, stay on top of it. See chiropractor or some other
specialist even if your general doc says nothing is wrong. Professional
athletes don't have MRI's as part of the routine injury checkout for
nothing.

Just to add to what Don said, and I back him up 100%. I am a Professional
Massage Therapist and it is a fact that a trauma can affect a person many,
many years later. If the Doctor says you're alright, you may still want to
seek out a Professional Massage Therapist that is certified in Neuromuscular
Therapy. They will be able to help with any muscle related problems. Oh,
and
even if you think you're fine, as soon as they were to go to areas that are
commonly involved in accidents of this type, you will probably find that
there is inflammation, or soreness.

If you would have any questions, feel free to e-mail me off list.
