C'mon, Paul, this is a load of crap. How many dealership owners that you
know live in a trailer park and get food stamps? Owning a dealership is a
license to print money. Dealers make large dollars, and a lot of it are
incentives from the factory straight to the dealer that do not involve the
customer. When you buy most cars at "dealer invoice" they are still making
at least 5% or more on the vehicle.

The list price on factory parts is very high, dealers make a bundle on
parts. The factory doesn't, which is why they would just as soon be out of
the parts business.

Dealers make a bunch on warranty jobs, also. Yeah, they "occasionally" get
turned down for a warranty job, but they all know how the game is played, so
that is a rare occurrence.

Don't feel sorry for dealers, they make good money. The Big Three have been
kicking themselves in the ass for the last 60-70 years after giving away the
store to franchise dealers, and now they are locked out from opening factory
stores due to the franchise laws in just about every state.

The dealers have to inflate their prices because they know they will get
screwed by Ford on book time, warranty payout and corporate mandated but
inadequately funded programs.....
