[Shotimes] looking to buy a high flow cat

I mentioned this before, but no one actually looked into the round cats to
see if it was an issue. The width of the walls of the catalyst have a
profound effect on how much flow you will get per square inch of catalyst
frontal area. Catalyst mfg's are always seeking to reduce both the width of
the catalyst walls as well as the flow chambers to improve efficiency. If
the round cats have significantly smaller walls with similar size flow
chambers compared to the oval cats that were being used, then the flow rate
of the unit could be better even in a smaller size. Also, the smaller, and
more equally transition areas into and out of the cat on the round units
decrease turbulence, which will improve flow. Mine are marked "Katco". Maybe
someone would be interested in locating this mfg and asking them?

Macho, macho man... er...
