[Shotimes] I'm getting a new clutch

I think the horror stories are from the TOB/diaphragm finger issue.  I have
had the old SHO Shop Competition Clutch (single diaphragm) in my SHO for 48k
miles now with no issues on the clutch material itself.  The TOB/finger
relationship is having problems, has for the past 12k miles, but I'm living
with it.  As long as I don't miss any 7000 rpm 3 to 4th gear shifts it keeps
working ok.  Every time I miss one the fingers get messed up a wee bit more!

I like the brass sintered material, almost an on/off feel but can be slipped
a bit.  I guess over the years I've "become one" with my clutch feel!  My
new clutch http://www.southbendclutch.com/car_catalog.html that is sitting
in the trunk, just in case, has a different lining, I hope I like it!

What I would like to know is how many miles do you get on a racing clutch?
I have heard horror stories of people getting only 15K on a clutch.  I don't
think I would like to change a clutch every year just so I could have a
racing clutch!
