[Shotimes] Hood question

Hey guys, my hood on my '89 has turned into a really ugly POS due to sitting 
in the sun alot and the wind abuse of freeway speeds(not me, previous owner). 
Anyways, I was wondering if a regular hood will work, say from an 87 or 88 
base model. I found one that is the same color, but on the SHO it has a weird 
dip at the back that the other one doesn't. Are these hoods only cosmetic 
diferences or will I have some clearance problem? Thanks all -Steve "I'm not
