Yeah, there was a real mix of parts that came through on Plus cars. With the
absence of a VIN code for a model, it seems the only way to definitely
ascertain that it is a real Plus is if it is green.

The other obvious things to look for are the body colored slicer wheels if
it is
white, the fact that it is green (if it IS green, since only Pluses had
green paint
in '91), and the newest thing I have learned, the chrome trim around the
side
windows, acting as a border around all the windows. That is, it goes across
the
tops of the windows over both doors, around the triangular fixed rear
window, then
back up to the front again, at the window sills.

I had to look twice at the Plus from Hell to make sure that bright strip was
there....it is.

They don't all have to have plastic hoods, or spoilers. My parts plus did
not have
a spoiler...it was a very early one, but it does have a rod shifter. It
originally
had a plastic hood, but that was gone, and a Taurus hood was there
instead...all
crunched up after it had flown open at speed, since it didn't fit right.

Bottom line....the chrome strip around the side windows is the giveaway.

You can also go to Shoclub.com to see a new discussion of what makes a plus
a plus.
