I have a bent Tokico strut that I want to cut open and take apart to compare to the stock strut. There is a big hex profile at the top. Should I drill a hole somewhere to let out the gas pressure and drain the oil? Don't want to get anything blowing apart! I know you cut the strut housing to install Koni's but have never done it. Thanks! . .
