[Shotimes] (OT) New Mitsubishi!

A good friend of mine's father recently invested in a HD widescreen
plasma and surround sound system with sub. I get really nervous thinking
that the football is going to come out of the screen and hit me. It's so
lifelike and real that its scary..

I'm thinking of getting my mom a DVD player for her birthday this year.
My family can be a bit slow to catch up with technology at times..It's
probably more for me when I come home to visit her though...I hate
VHS... :)

It is awesome watching sports on HD.  My neighbor bought a +50" HD TV 2
months ago and I love watching sports that are broadcasted in HD on it.
I'm trying to convince my wife into getting a 40" HD Monitor (Plasma -
yeah
right!) were our 36" TV now sits...

CBS is suppose to be broadcasting the NFL playoff games the next two
weeks in the highest HD mode, hopefully your new HDTV supports it.

I'm looking forward to racing in HD, hopefully Fox does something with
the Daytona 500 this year in HD.

When do you suppose ESPN will start doing sports in HD?
