[Shotimes] PS pulsing

Hey, Paul

My 89 has been doing that to some degree since I got it last year at 189K.

I changed the rack this spring with an A1-Cardone reman, flushed and filled
with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF and the problem was still there to some degree.
I had become resigned to replacing the PS pump at some later date.

I installed the new Gen III upper and lower SFBs on all four corners this
week and the problem is almost (not quite) gone! At least I can drive a
curvy road without fighting the steering and the whole car is much better
mannered.

I had spoken to two different Ford mechanics (one of which was working on
Ford Front suspensions and steering systems when I was in grade school 30
years ago) and both of them indicated that the rack would be their first
choice.

Don't know if this helps, but what the heck, it's something else to
consider.

Steve
