That's good to hear, but it seems to me that the problem shouldn't have happened in the
first place. This is (was, when these trannies were coming out by the zillions) the
1990s, after all, and there should have been some knowledge built up since the 50s and
60s when automatics first started coming out in force.
What is the most disgusting aspect to me, I guess, is that I have to ask ...How many
times does the wheel need to be invented?
Still staying away from new automatics.....and I NEVER buy a new car without a 6 year
100K warranty....I would have blown up my '96 SHO with it under the ESP warranty, and
paid $50 bucks for a new engine (and tranny, probably!). Warranty would have paid for
itself many times over, again, like it did for the Lowrider.
(I just can't understand people that don't get an extended warranty for something as
complicated as a car is nowadays.....)
Then I would have had the cams welded.
