I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling that way towards Ford, I dumped the
stock long time ago!  I saw in last Sundays paper that one dealership here
has 8 Marauders sitting on the lot, another SHO in the making for sure.

I just bought my wife a Trailblazer Ext LT, sweet motor (4.2l Inline 6
DOHC), room and features to boot and IMHO nice looks.  We did extensive
shopping and test driving across the segment, the Explorer was by far the
most boring vehicle, dash was so mono.

Tell me if in Australia they can but in the 5.4l in a car why can't Ford not
do that here on a big car like the Marauder?  Oh wait we have to protect the
Mustang...

Overall it comes from the top down, GM has the right management in place for
offering performance minded vehicles, Ford is trying with Bill Fords
commercials but they are stuck in a crisis from past management and present
lineup.  Just maybe they'll change everything in a few years but you never
know...

Well, yesterday I got home from work to find a postcard promoting a $2K
rebate on 2002 Marauders.  What a bummer that they aren't selling.
Unfortunately, Ford will think it's because we, the consumer, don't want
a big fast four door.  Well, WE DO!  The only problem is that it isn't
FAST!  Ford dropped the ball by touting it for two years and showing
pictures of it doing smokey burnouts.  Then what do they give us but
hand us a big fat black pig.  Then, when we don't buy it they don't
think it's their fault, but ours.  See, says Ford, we built it and they
didn't come.  Bullshit.

They gave us a transvestite!!  It looked like a hottie with great lines,
then we undressed her and UUUUGGGHHH!!!  Hell, that's false
advertising!!

Ford really is a company that I love to hate.  I love them for the SHO
and for the Mustang, both from the past and current (OK, except for the
CobraII of the last 70's).  But they really dont seem to get it.  I
stopped by the dealership to drop off a title for a car that a friend
sold and bs'd with a sales guy who talked about all this cool new
product Ford has coming and how excited he is.  Only problem is, NONE of
it is coming until 2005!  Plus, if history follows, they'll have a
fraction of the power that they market to us for two years prior to
bringing it to market.  Shit, I'll be driving an import by then!

Sorry for the rant, I just have little tolerance for ignorance, and IMHO
Ford is being ignorant!
