If you've only got 1.1 mile to work, and said neighborhood lies between you
and your place of employment, then I hate to be the one to say this to you,
but you LIVE in that shady part of town!! When your friend said "they" would
be waiting for you by the third day, he meant himself and the rest of your
buddies! Probably they would just run you over once or twice for being
stupid enough to ride a geeky scooter.

Now, if you were to make a rocket-powered wheelchair that could go 110,
you'd get all the respect in the world, no matter how dorkish it looked.
Only upon threat of death do you get any respect these days.
