There was a time when I thought the same way about pushrod engines vs. OHC
engines.  I think GM has proven that a pushrod engine can continue to be
viable in a world of CAFE and emissions regs.  Ford decided not to continue
with pushrod development and put all of its eggs in the OHC mod motor basket. 
Whether or not that was a bad decision, history will tell.
