I suppose that its true, (I haven't researched it) but I think that the
words have been interchanged so often, that its become acceptable to
refer to an engine as a motor. One can go  "motoring" about in their
car; they don't go "engineing" around however.

It must be Monday..

  That statement is true but why do they call Detroit the Motor City?
