I haven't been a big Dodge/Chrysler fan.  That said, I have a 1991 Caravan
that has 160K miles, driven by my wife with no regard to maintenance except
when I can pry it away from her.  I had the tranny gone through in Tijuana
for $280 a year or so ago, and it works fine.  The seals and sensors, O2s,
etc. were changed at the same time, another $120.  Otherwise, except for
brakes and oil at ~5-8K intervals, nothing else.  Still starts and runs
fine; air works, cruise, etc.  Burns no oil!!! My '96 Ram PU has had 0
maintenance, except for one set of brake pads, and oil changes.  No
problems.  So I wouldn't be afraid to buy another CC car; my wife just took
the Caravan a couple months ago to Las Vegas, 115 deg. and some minor
overheating but otherwise uneventful. Just my .02
