[Shotimes] carpet dye?

Wasn't me, but if you come across it or if someone could repost it, that'd be great!

I'm thinking I have an advantage with black carpet already over any other color. My sis works at the collision center at a local dealership and said I'd have to find something for synthetic fibers, and that the dye might turn the carpet crusty. I'm thinking crusty is better than what I've currently got...

Awhile back (might have been you actually), someone posted a link to 
some carpet dyes. I would like to dye my grey carpet black, but I'm 
unsure on how it would look. Perhaps a dark grey?
