Mark,

    After accidentally crushing the EGR gasket that Josh sent me, I just
used the copper sealant (really, REALLY thin layer) found at the auto parts
stores. It works fine for the application, just make sure you put it on thin
enough that none squeezes out of the side so that you don't clog up some oil
channel or something. Speaking of, the original sealant used on the oil pan
was apparently lobbed on en masse, as there were big gobs of it here and
there. Makes you wonder about the rod bearing failures.
