Hey bud, I called around and got a great deal on the Nitto 555R's. Seeing as
how the BFG drag radials are going to be indeffinatly on backorder I figured
I'd look into the more expensive, better <in your opinion> tire. Tires.com
carries the 555R for $138 per tire. I can get as many of these tires as I want
for $100 a piece. I worked out a little deal with my local tire dealer. With
your approval I'll go ahead and order a pair for my car. I'll have to go to
Tirerack to get some back tires in that size. My supplier doesn't carry any
other tire in that size. I remember we worked out that I needed 235/50/15 in
the BFG drag, but these tires are 205/45/15. According to Nitto this tire is
22.17" high, has a recommended rim width of 6.5-7.5" and revolves 938 times
per mile. I figure this would be a little bit smaller than the 235's, but that
was the goal. Please let me know what you think about the size I've selected.
I'm going to HAVE to lower the car now! If only I could get a great deal on
aftermarket suspension for the SHO.
