[Shotimes] OT: Digital Camera ? - 3.1MP overkill for internet work?

If you are into video camera market as well, many models take stills as
well.  Nice to have a dual purpose camera.  Not a big pixel grid (640x480 is
video frame converted to still) but with a decent CCD chip (or 3 CCD if it's
a good camera) it's excellent for the internet posting or ebay type ads, or
emails, etc.  (For the picture albums, we still carry along our ole' trusty
Canon AE1 35mm.  It's old but I love the manual control and still takes
great pics.)

For video/stills we have a Sony VX-2000.  It's a 3-CCD miniDV camera with
decent optics.  Uses Sony's memory stick cards, got a $50 64 meg stick at
Wal-Mart that holds about 330 stills.  Comes with a drive that hooks up to
your computer, and the software.  Below links are some sample shots from the
convention, it's even saved as a much lower quality jpeg file (than native).
Works ok for web stuff.
