[Shotimes] Timing Belt

Is there a way to tell if the Timing belt is really old or rather new?  I am still new to this car and the SHO engine.  The lady that I bought it from stated that it had been replaced, but she claims the car was broken into and trashed so she doesn't have the receipt.  Will the belt start to look like a serpentine belt does, kinda frayed or should I just take the plunge?  I have 105,000 miles on the car and she claimed it was done around 95,000 or so.
Any suggestions that you all have would be appreciated.
Also, is there anyone on here in the Jax, FL area that might want beer and pizza for first person sage advice and other help?
