[Shotimes] major coolant leak

Don, try plugging the heater hoses (make a loop of them, feed one into the
other).  This would take the heater core, and anything coming from the
firewall out of the loop.  If it still leaks (pours?), then your problem is
under hood, if no leaks, I would start by examining where the heater hoses
plug up to the firewall for the heater core, and then work inside.

If the coolant leak is coming from the A/C drain line, then he may need to
replace everything HVAC related behind the dash.  If so, looks like it could
be a good donor for a race SHO, if he doesn't want to spend the money on
replacing all that stuff.
