Excellent article. Carroll Smith is one of the true "racing gurus" and a 
great author besides.

Josh:

A.	Throw any "cheap" or "standard" pads you might have away.
B.	Put on semi-metallic (at least) or carbon-metallic (preferred; 
possibly mandantory if you have the older, smaller rotors)
C.	Bed them in properly per Carroll Smith's article.

You shouldn't have any more problems after that. Unless the rotors are 
so hardened that you need a new set.
