[Shotimes] FINALLY home, FINALLY repairing my down 1993!

Hi there. The SHO uses a timing belt which drives the two intake cams. The
exhaust cams are run off of the intak cams via a chain. Maybe that is where
you got confused. Also the 3.2's only have on accessory belt.

you could do the whole front engine routine which includes the crankshaft
position sensor, timing belt, front oil seal, and water pump. Just the
accessory belts themselves is much less work. The parts for this are not
too high. Labor can be high depending on who does the work. There isn't a
lot of risk involved if you just keep driving it without doing the front of
engine stuff. If your water pump starts leaking then you should do all of
this since the water pump will degrade the crank sensor and ultimately leave
you stranded somewhere.

plugs. This takes a little more time and requires specialized tools plus
new shims if you need any. It is sort of separate from the front of engine
work so you can do them at different times without duplicating any of the
work. Not many people have problems with valve clearances or wear on the
shims so again it isn't high risk if you don't do the adjustment right now.
