It sounds like one or more strut mounts are going bad. My original strut
mounts, particularly the rears, where clunking when my '95 has around 85K
last Summer.

Subject: [Shotimes] loud clunking over bumps
Lately I've really noticed a loud clunking noise while driving over bumps.
Everything in the suspension seems ok, but it's stock at 84K. The rebound
is ok upon compression and release so I think the shocks and springs are
fine. The clunk seems like it's coming mostly from under the passenger side
seat, but it's hard to localize the spot while I'm driving. Also can hear
it towards the rear. Could it possibly be upper strut housing bushing? Do
they fail often and how hard are they to change? Approximate cost for the
parts? Thanks
