BTW, the parts I bought were the Police mounts, which are more expensive
than the standard mounts.

Yes, the struts must come out, and you need a spring compressor to
disassemble them. The complete set of 4 strut mounts and 2 strut bearings
for the front were around $150. Go to the SHO Nut site, josh has the parts
listed.
