There are a few 60's small blocks that are worth having ...

Like my '66 Tiger w/ 302, aluminum heads among other enhancements. Good
power to weight.

> How about a Ford Torino GT Cobra?
> Galaxie 500?
> Fairlane GT?
> Mercury Marauder?
> Cougar XR7?

I knew a guy that built motors for a living that had 4 Kit Car Galaxies,
not sure of the exact year, mid/late 60's anyway. They were 4 of the 500
required to run NASCAR at the time that were sold in show rooms with full
coil over floating 4 link. Modified shock tower to make it easier to work
on the big block. Solid Magnesium wheels. They were in various states of
restoration, one with a roller cam roller rocker 427 with medium riser
manifold & dual four barrel. This was around 1980 & he claimed he could
give the europeans a run for their money down hill on Angeles crest ... up
hill was, of course no contest.

That would be on my BB list.

Had a '65 Riviera GS (425 2 x 4bbl). Because of it's weight, it's ability
to accelerate far exceeded it's ability to turn or stop. Ultimate sleeper
& a lot of fun, especially as a 1st car at the age of 16!
