[Shotimes] OT - GM 60's BB lust

You just can't find 'em. They were WAY too finicky to maintain, and parts
are way too pricey, unless you have a Concours car that you ain't gonna ever
drive. If I were looking for a pre-mid-'60s Ford collectible, I would go
with one of the regular 427s, not the SOHC model.
The 428 CJ (introduced in mid '68) was an OUTSTANDING motor. It was way
underrated at 335 HP (IIRC), and was a very nice, torquey motor in any of
the Ford bodystyles, although the Mustang was the lightest body for it.

The 428 was specifically made to go into big sedans. Lots of low end
torque, and not a high reving engine. The 427 was much more high strung,
and apparently, more expensive to produce. The one to find is the SOHC
427. 7000RPM red line on that puppy!
