I've been lucky...only bugs with the Lowrider. My friend Mark in Sheboygan wiped
out a deer with his black Plus that was at Frederick. Took out the left front
fender, headlight, bent the radiator support, and split the hood, top and bottom
halves. The hood wasn't fixable. Total cost was $5000 or so, as I best remember
(certainly could be wrong...seems high), but I think the insurance company fixed it,
since the car had under (or right around) 70,000 miles. So it must have been less.
With the Mustangs before 1990, several cats, dogs, and jack rabbits. Not a good
feeling to take someone's pet away from them. If I saw someone in a car heading for
my cat, I'd head for them with the Lowrider at full throttle.....no kidding...right
now! There are a couple of folks like that at work and we've had heated words.
It got my attention once long ago when I found (long dried, not my doing) a pregnant
cat with her unborn kittens spread all over the road. I'll NEVER forget that sight.
