A '64 Galaxie 500 XL 2 door fastback roof style has always been my favorite old
Ford.  I liked it better than the '65s (it took a while to adjust to the sharp
corners), but I wanted coil springs in the back rather than leaf springs.  'Course,
the coils were too weak, and you could see zillions of 2 or 3 year old '65s and
newer with their rear ends sagging like old alligators.

I guess I should be happy the XL didn't arrive....I would have gone a completely
different direction, and might not have made it into SHOdom.
