[Shotimes] normal operating water temps

FWIW, that location tends to run a bit hotter than the stock location
and therefore the readings won't correlate much (not that the OEM gauge
correlates to anything anyway)..However, if most people use the stock
location for gauges, your readings will run a bit hotter in comparison
due to the extra heat in that area..
I tend to run 180 on the highway on a warm day, 150 on a cold
day...autometer electrical gauges..

It depends somewhat on the outside (ambient) temperature. Mine runs
from 200 to 206. If the weather is colder like it is now (37 F) it runs
around 198. By the way I have my auxially gauge connected on the
firewall side of the engine. There is a plug there that is easily
usable. That way I don't have to do anything to the stock gauges. In
town in stop and go traffic in summer it may go as high as 220. I have
digital gauges by Intelitronix ( got them from Summit). I think they
blend it with the SHO "look" better than mechanical, but I guess it is a
matter of preference. My son has mechanical Autometer gauges from
Summit and they seem to read about the same. David 94ATX&91
