I can just picture Paul hunched over a workbench in his uber-lab,
while his sister dances behind him. "I yam not stoooopid Dee Dee".

Oh, sorry, I was thinking of something else.

Sure, Paul, but that involves chemistry that you have more observed than
explained. Icky stuff. Bad smells. Late nights in a laboratory that,
shall we say, lacks the feminine touch. :-) It's more like voodoo that
auto repair.

For those who haven't followed this long thread, Paul has devised
(concocted?) a method which he claims revitalises old rubber seals. It
seems to involve petri dishes, primordial soup, nitrogen gas, and flashes of
high-voltage electricity. Suddenly, all color is gone from the the room,
and everyone looks like Lon Cheney. Supposedly this is "science" but it
sure gets the villagers upset.

p.s. Paul is my buddy and I am kidding him. I get so few chances. Ya ha
ha ha ha.......

Or you could be real cheap and re-soften the seals like I do.

All you need are the plug well seals. For a first timer it is about a 3
hour job. You can just reuse the old plug well seals, and use black RTV to
seal the wells. Some have done this with great success, but my experience
has only been somewhat successful, with it only lasting a few months before
oil found it's way back into the plug wells.
