I don't think that ASP redesigned their pulleys. I have the SHOshop
UDP's (no crank) which are good. However, they are the older style with
the solid water pump instead of the newer design with the pretty holes
machined out. The pretty one is kinda cool cause it tends to fracture
and break and then you have to do a water pump pulley replacement on the
side of the road which isn't so much fun..

Well, I've got a dynabatt that I use everyday (discharges easily) and I
don't particularly want to slow down my alternator. The new designs
from SHOShop and ASP were supposed to be pretty good I thought. I'm
probably just going to buy them new, but since they come with the
alternator pulley, I thought I'd try to save a little bit of money. You
are right - it probably is dumb to try to buy them used.. have you heard
of problems with the new SHOShop or ASP sets that I don't know about??
I'm more interested in the woodruff key/keyway than I am the UDP
pulleys, so if anyone has got a parts motor that they've already started
piecing out, let me know.
