I am very sorry to hear that.
I have to say, the number of people just that I know who have/had cancer of some kind is staggering.  It seems to me to just be out of control, and that there is still no cure amazes me.  If I was a doctor or scientist THIS would be my #1 focus - but I'm not so I guess I have no business questioning their methods.
My hope for your father is of course a full recovery...if that is not possible then I wish him as little suffering as possible.
