[Shotimes] HID question

I was browsing through some HID kits on eBay last night. Not really in
the market at the moment, but perhaps down the line...Anyway..

In the US, a high beam must be maintained. With the HID kits on the
market, the SHO would lose the dual filament bulb and therefore only
have one high beam. The answer is pretty easy though; remove the kit for
inspection and put in an OEM bulb. However, I had another idea for the
gen2..

I was thinking about installing a clear bulb in the turnsignal section
of our headlamps and then putting an amber turnsignal bulb in the
fishtank. The clear bulb could then be used as a high beam bulb.
Granted, the reflector and lens setup may not be optimal, but its really
only there for the sake of being there instead of function. It would
still throw out a great deal of light over a wide pattern, it just may
not be useable.. Wiring up the bulb in the fishtank as a turnsignal
would be easy. Now, how would one go about wiring up the clear bulb as a
high beam bulb? I don't know what the regulations are, but I believe
that its legal to have both high and low beams (In this case, HID and
clear bulb) on at the same time. My concern is getting the clear bulb to
turn off when the high bean selector is switched off at the MFS. Would
there be a problem with having the HID's remain on constantly for both
low and high beam use?

Thanks
