Maybe I'm thinking about this wrong.  33% film would be darker than 50%
wouldn't it?  The percentage is the amount of light it will let pass through,
I believe.  So 33% light transmission would be beyond the 50% limit.

According to http://www.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/ MN allowns 50% film. As
for suggestions, if you're not legal, get legal. If you are, prove it in front
of the judge.
