I see.. I'm going to try the Bon Ami this weekend and see what happens..
I also have nasty water spots that won't come out so as long as at least
those are gone by this weekend, I'll be in slightly better shape.

I'm pretty sure it's the lighter one - it's for the rear window, which
is etched from some sort of industrial pollutant. I had the windshield
replaced already, as it had the usual pits from road grit as well.
