[Shotimes] Stalling problem, help please

I've got a 95 ATX, with 78K on it.... 60/100K has been partially done (new
spark plugs and wires and valve lash adjustment remain). The symptom is
this: sometimes, when pulling out from a stop, the car stalls. If I step on
the gas even a little to much, it starts to go, bucks once or twice, the tach
dips down to 500, and the car will either stall, or if I react fast enough
and let off the gas, it'll save itself and keep running. It did stall on me
once or twice going down the road at about 50mph.. I read up on the
intermittent stalling stuff on shotimes.com, but I haven't really figured it
out yet... I've replaced the CID and CPS, gas and air filters, even ran some
fuel injection cleaner through it. I had thought it might be a fuel problem,
and I guess I was partly right.. since doing the fuel filter and injection
cleaner, the car hasn't stalled while going down the road. However, it hasn't
really helped the stalling when starting from a stop, or even a slow roll,
which makes me think it isn't really a fuel problem at all. I'm thinking it's
the VSS, but I'm not sure either, and was hoping someone could give me some
ideas on this, or maybe recommend a good mechanic around Kansas City.
Thanks in advance,
Rich
