Steve, for what it's worth, I had a couple of friends that bought Turbo
Coupes new in '87/'88.  One guy originally had an auto with single
exhaust, then traded it for an identical blue five speed car that had
dual ezhaust.  I distinctly remember the different exhaust
configurations because that's how you could tell an automatic car from a
five speed from the out side.

I read that the 5 speeds were 195 hp, and the autos were 150 hp.
What difference on the autos besides the single outlet exhaust? and is
it easy to 'reverse' whatever Ford did to restrict them?

(just wondering as I now have an 88 TC automatic that is quick..makes
good boost(9-10) but doesn't pull nearly as strong as the 86 5 speed I
had)

Ok, I'd like to hear from anybody that has an '87/'88 turbo coupe with
an 
automatic, I think it has dual exhaust and Dave thinks it had single
exhaust. 
I'd like to get this one straightened out. Here are the SVO and TC HP so
