I have given this a lot of thought and decided that I am going to transfer all my Super SHO parts from my 91 to my 89 SHO that is sitting in a storage yard.
So I am going to embark on a huge project of putting my 91 on blocks and my 89 on blocks and begin a total swap over of parts.
Obviously the 89 is going to be gutted and a race seat installed. Everything and anything that can be removed will be removed for weight savings. All my high performance add ons will be put on the 89 less a few changes .
I love driving my 91 SHO on the street but It will be quiter and softer on the roads. This is something i have been thinking of doing for a long time and by so doing will get me on the track more.
I wont have it ready for this convention but will be at the next convention with the 89 on a trailer.
I think driving a 89 thats gutted with almost a 300 HP sho motor and quaife with all the suspension and brake mods would be a hoot to drive.
Question for the real knowledgable autocrossers. I have a 19mm front sway bar and the 24mm in the car now. The rear is stock.
What does the list think would be a ideal set up for a road course, for a very light SHO specifically suspension and sway bars.
Being a lighter car I think u can get away with the 96 brakes on it.
