Not sure what mean by this... if it feels like the engine is moving or you
can feel a "clunk" then it's most likely a motor mount. The front mount is
easily diagnosed by a black wear spot on the front of the intake. This is
from the motor rubbing against the hood pad as the engine rocks back under
load. The rear mount is much harder to diagnose.

The first thing I would look at is your tires. With worn tires or low
quality tires you will loose a great deal of traction (not always both
tires) in rain or snow. If your tires are up to snuff, then I'd be looking
at struts and strut mounts. Wheel hop can be an indication of worn struts.
If the struts are too week, then they won't hold the tire to the road under
acceleration. The tire bites and instead of pulling the car forward the
strut allows the tire to come off the ground... hence wheel hop. Do you
hear a clunk or clap when you experience wheel hop? That could indicate
worn strut mounts or really, really bad struts.
