Hi All,

Got the '93 MTX running strong again - looking at tires next as mine are
slicks at this point. I'll try to make this short and would really
appreciate your feedback.

In all the tire discussions I've seen on this list, I haven't seen too
much about Toyo? Here's my dilemma - I live in Oregon and Les Schwab is
like the only REAL tire dealer around. Their service is impeccable and
it's hard to think about going any different route. The tires I will
get them are Toyo TPT-V rated 225/60R-16's.

Question is: What do you guys know about these tires and is this a good
choice for my daily driver or not? The cost is about $150 a tire
installed, balanced and a 65k warranty.

Once again, any help on this is much appreciated in advance! Looking to
do this soon!

BTW - I had the same question as a previous post about how to get the
proper TQ on the crank bolt. I struggled with this and ruined 3
screwdrivers in the process. The crank pulley has an indentation, but
not a hole to be able top the pulley from turning. I used this
indentation to try and stop the rotation but it was still a major pita.
The needle hit the required TQ, but I still don't feel comfortable that
I did this right. Looking forward to other thoughts on this.

a scalded dog, except I have to take it easy 'cause the slicks on the
front!!
