[Shotimes] tire question

I guess it all depends on what you want in a tire. Good handling, or long
life.
A couple of things here. Toyo tires have gotten great reviews, depending on
the model. Those tires you are looking at are very mundane, and the 400
treadware/65K warranty tells me that they are "rocks", which is typical of
most high-mileage-rated H and V-rated tires. Plus, tires with similar specs
can be purchased for well under $100, those Toyo TPTs are pretty expensive
for what you get.
If you want Toyos, look at the Z1 or the FZ4 series, they are also
all-season, but seem to be much more performance-oriented. Plus, a quick
Google search gave me a few dealers who sell them, and the Z-series Toyos
are priced comparably (and less in some cases) than the V-rated TPTs.
Les Schwab may be great, and if you want the Toyo tires, it looks like
that's the place to go, as there aren't as many Toyo dealers around.
Nonetheless, a search of Tire Rack can give you a broader selection. Tire
Rack can even point you to an installer in your area (who knows, one of the
local installers might be Les Schwab).
At any rate, I feel those TPT-Vs are way too pricey for what you are
getting. And if you like good tire handling and response, they don't look
like the way to go.

Subject: [Shotimes] tire question
In all the tire discussions I've seen on this list, I haven't seen too
much about Toyo? Here's my dilemma - I live in Oregon and Les Schwab is
like the only REAL tire dealer around. Their service is impeccable and
it's hard to think about going any different route. The tires I will
get them are Toyo TPT-V rated 225/60R-16's.
Question is: What do you guys know about these tires and is this a good
choice for my daily driver or not? The cost is about $150 a tire
installed, balanced and a 65k warranty.
