[Shotimes] Taylor Spark Plug Wires

Well, this is clearly now a battle of John Hrinsin vs. Magnecore, with
no obvious way to declare a winner. I'm not saying I believe everything
Magnecore has to say on their website, but an internet should bring up
more than a few instances where people (who know much more about spark
plug wires than 99.9% of this list, me included) agree with some of what
Magnecore has to say.

"A spiral conductor with a low electrical resistance measured by an
ohmmeter indicates, in reality, nothing other than less of the expensive
fine wire is used for the conductor windings - a construction which
cannot achieve a clean and efficient current flow through the magnetic
field surrounding the windings, resulting in poor suppression for RFI
and EMI."

RFI is Radio Frequency Interference. EMI is ElectroMagnetic
Interference, and Magnecore goes deeper by saying "EMI from spark plug
wires can cause erroneous signals to be sent to engine management
systems and other on-board electronic devices used on both racing and
production vehicles in the same manner as RFI (radio frequency
interference) can cause unwanted signals to be heard on a radio
receiver." They also state that "This problem is most noticeable on
modern production vehicles used for commuting where virtually every
function of the vehicle's drive train is managed by a computer."

Now I don't want to sound like I'm trying to sell anybody some Magnecore
products. I don't know who's right, and who's wrong. I'm not going to
immediately take Hrinsin's word over someone else's (even though I
realize John is a very bright, experienced guy regarding anything
automotive).

I'm just saying a simple resistence test, indicating a particular wire
has 10x less ohms than my Motorcraft wires, isn't good enough for me.

I seriously doubt it's good enough for most people.

Prove to me that there's an upside (power, longevity, something) and
that there's no downside (loss of power, longevity, insulating
capability, poor fitment, etc.) and I'll buy some.

See John Hrinsin's posting below ">" about Accel spiral would wires. I
bought a set of these based on John's input along with a set of IK20
Iridium plugs that are ready to go in with the new plug well seals!.
