Ah, the old love it or leave it trick. C'mon Ron, you can do better than
that. What, I'm supposed to up and leave because I think the current WH
occupant is making this country - and this world - a worse place? Screw
that. This is my country, too. For every of the jingoism-spouting
halfwits that posted earlier on this thread, there are people who realize
that humanity does not stop at the borders of the 50 states, and that
obligations flow from that.
I spent the first twenty years of my life in tow from one country to
another, following a non-US citizen who served in the US Army,
who happened to be my father. He didn't do that to protect the physical
borders of a country he didn't even grow up in - but to advance the ideals
which America stands for on its best days. As a result, my loyalty isn't
to some piece of dirt - idiocy like "the Homeland" - but to the
ideas. When an Administration drops those ideals, I drop that
Administration. And the fools that support it.
