Mike;
Ditto on my '94
Inspected the working system on my '89. The visible door light switch on
the door jam has no effect on the door ajar light. The door ajar light
was activated by a contact switch located inside the door on the door
lock mechanism itself. I confirmed this by closing the latch mechanism
on the 89 with a screwdriver, while holding the door open. Door ajar
light went off. Door light switch position on door jam had no impact /
effect.

There is a small contact switch located on the latch mechanism inside
the door. Removed and tested one on the 94 with a multimeter and it gave
an unusual "closed" signal that only lasted a second. Not sure if this
is indicative of "normal" or "bad". WD40 didn't work for me either.

I'm presently clueless as to how to proceed, except by removing /
testing / replacing all 4 / 5 sensors.

Anyone else have any experience or ideas???

sometimes my 250k 89 works better!
